 Department of Education
Career College is situated in the heart of
the city of Bhopal, the capital of M.P. It
has a four acre campus with eight
multistoried buildings and lush green
gardens.
Career college offers B.Ed. course for the
students who want to make their careers in
the field of teaching at secondary level of
education. B.Ed. is a one year degree
programme, affiliated to Barkatullah Univ.,
Bhopal. It is approved by NCTE and
recognized by the Govt. of M.P.
At present the department of education has
two big class-rooms and well equipped labs
like Psychology lab, Educational technology
lab, work experience lab and science labs.
Psychology lab has different psychological
tests like intelligence test, personality
test, test on creativity, adjustment
attitude and aptitude etc.
Educational techlogy lab is equipped with
OHP, T.U., VCR, slide projector, Educational
cassettes CDs, Computer & LCD projector to
provide the practice training to the
students for handling the audio visual aids
in their class-rooms.
Music, craft and gardening activities are
the part and parcel of the B.Ed. course. For
this purpose a well equipped work-experience
lab is also situated in the deptt. A lush
green garden is also developed here.
Each class-room is well furnished and CCTV
cameras are also fitted in each room to
monitor the activities of the students and
teachers.
A rich and well maintained library having
books on different subjects of education is
the pride of the college.
According to the NCTE norms the deptt. of
Education has 1 head and seven other faculty
members. All the staff members are
experienced and selected under the College
Code 28.
Cultural programmes, seminars, tests and
mock exams, workshops and guest lectures by
the experts, are organized throughout the
session. Besides this sports, N.S.S., N.C.C.
personality diagnosis, educational tours and
extension activities like community work and
project work are undertaken for the overall
development of the personality of the
students.
College maintains a Computerized Attendance
Monitoring System (CAMS) and a Student
Satisfaction Research Unit (SSRU) which
constantly undertakes the feedback to
improve the performance.
Placement cell is also working in college
campus. At present many of our B.Ed.
students are working in the prestigious
schools of the city.
Hostal facility for the girls is available
in the college campus. Medical facility with
concession at Career institute of Medical
Sciences (CIMS) (a 150 bedded hospital in
the campus) is also provided to the
students.
B.Ed. B.Ed.
(Basic) is a 1 year degree course affiliated
to Barkatullah University, Bhopal and
approved by NCTE and recognized by the Govt.
of M.P. is the only
Professional course available for the
students who wish to adopt teaching as their
profession. B.Ed. course offers specific
knowledge of traditional and modern teaching
principles in addition to knowledge of child
psychology, Career Guidance & Counselling,
Educational technology & Management,
Secondary education & teachers function,
etc.
