Guest lecture was organized for all B.Sc and M.Sc Students having topic “Cancer” on 31st march 2011. Dr.H.K Garg.Prof.in Zoology department of Nutan Girls Autonomous College delivered the lecture and gave information regarding cancer and how it is produced. What is the factor that causes cancer? And how the modern life the living style initiates the cancer in our life

 

Total number of seminars/workshops conducted:

 

A workshop was conducted by the Zoology Department on the first week of May having Topic “Maintenance and Creation of aquarium”. The resource person of this workshop was shri U.K. Purohit Directorate of Fisheries M.P. Senior Technical officer of C.I.F.E Powarkheda delivered the lecture on Disease of aquarium Fishes”.Deputy Directorof Fisheries Shri U.S. Tomer delivered lecture on “Maintenance of Aquarium” and two lectures was delivered by Astt director of fisheries Shri Ashok Shrivastava topic was “Fabrication of aquarium”& “Breeding of Aquarium fishes”.All practical work related to topic was done by the students in aquarium house on second day.

 

Community service:

 

Social Activities have been done by the B.Sc-IIIrd Sem Students of Zoology Department at Acharya nagar on 20th Sep 2010 having topic “ Swine flu” with the help of nukkad play students communicate the message of cleanliness and aware the peoples of slum area about causes, Prevention and Vaccination of swine Flu.

Zoology and botany department of Career College organized a three days educational tour to Kanha National park situated at heart of M.P, Jabalpur, Mandla dist. And is also a well-known Tiger reserve of central India.

The trip was organized for the students of B.Sc Zoology under the guidance of HOD Dr. Manjula saini and Asst professor Dr. Rajni Gautam. The nostalgic trip to Kanha national park presented an excellent opportunity to experience the vibrant beauty of wild life and truly exotic nature. Kanha national park is well famous for barasingha, spotted deer, sambhar, bison, tiger and several other species of animals as well. Floral treasure that increases the beauty of national park is Indian ghost tree, Flame of the forest Palash. Crocodile bark tree, Saaj and various others

This educational trip spread a deep understanding of what wild life conservation is all about and how it is executed it also provide ample career opportunities for the up comings science graduates to look forward. Career in forest and wild life management can also be fun for nature lovers and admires also a significant contribution in “ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION”
