A tour was organized in the month of Jan 2011 from 06-10 Jan. The students were taken to 49th Annual Conference of IAP held at Pune. The students attended various pre-conference sessions as well as workshops and paper presentations during the same..

Workshop was conducted during the session so that our students would get an additional exposure for ongoing study and recent trends in educations.
The department organized A state level workshop on “Motor Relearning Programme” by Mr. D.Thiagrajan,MPT (Neurosciences), Principal of Santosh Medical college & Hospitals, Ghaziabad. Hands on presentations were given to the students for better learning
WORLD PHYSIOTHERAPY DAY
8th September is recognized as world physiotherapy day. The department celebrated it by organizing poster and quiz contests for the students. Students from all the batches participated in this event. Through different posters the students explained the roles of physiotherapy at different milestones of life. They exp
lained how physiotherapy is useful to an individual’s life, starting from intrauterine life to old age. They also explained the contribution of physiotherapy in keeping an individual well, mobile and independent.
During the program, Dr. P. N. Tiwari addressed the st
udents and encouraged them to thoroughly learn the skills and use them to serve the community.
Professor Pradeep Jain and Dr. Kavita Ratnaparkhi threw
light on the importance of physiotherapy in the field of Rehabilitation. Dr. N.K.Thapak emphasized on the vital role played by physiotherapist in combating various disabilities.
Dr. Rakhi explained how physiotherapy is necessary in todays modern lifestyle and also the role of physiotherapy in different streams of medical field.
NATIONAL WORKSHOP:
The physiotherapy department organized 2 day national worksh
op on the 2nd and 3rd January 2012 on the topic ‘Myofascial Release Technique’. Dr. Arun Mozhi from Dehradun was invited as resource speaker. Dr. R.K.Chaurasia, Registrar, M.P Paramedical council inaugurated the worksh
op as chief guest. Students and staff from different areas of state participated in the workshop.
During the workshop, hands on training were provided and different techniques were taught to the participants, which are applied to different parts of the body to relieve pain and increase function. The students were awarded with certificates and transcript after completion of workshop.
