- Environment Awareness program – Students were enthused to build up their creativity and explore the best use of plant waste.
- Literacy Day celebrated – Extempore was organised for students. Books and stationery were distributed to children below poverty line and On the Eve of Literacy Day a special awareness camp for spreading the importance of literacy for girls was spread in slums of Durga Nagar by faculty and students.
- National Workshop on “Human DNA Fingerprinting and Barcoding” from 25.04.2011 to 30.04.2011. Students were given a hands on exposure to advanced molecular techniques.
- Trainings arranged with outside Agency / Institute
- Students from M.Sc (III Sem) attended the training on Students from M.Sc (III sem) attended the training cum workshop at ITRC, Lucknow.
- Student of M.Sc (III Sem) went for training on Insulin Production in China, Molecular and Recombinant DNA Technology (RDT) at AZYMES, Bangalore and Plant Tissue culture at MPCST.
- Students from B.Sc (V Sem) attended the training on Enzymology and Molecular Biology Techniques at Blossoms Pharmatech Institute and Research Centre and Molecular Biology at Disha Biotech, Ahmedabad.
- Educational trips organized
An excursion to Central Institute for Agricultural Engineering,Berasia Road, was organised, for 40 students on 06/04/2011. Students learnt the production mechanism of Soya products like Yoghurt, Soyamilk, Biscuits etc. - New collaborative Research Programme
For giving exposure to students of B.Sc and M.Sc. initiatives have been taken to build MOU’s with CSIR and NGOs. Two MOU’s have been built
